The following points are essential when choosing a host...
- The host must have good fast servers which can deal with high traffic.
- The host must have good editing area so you can edit your website quickly and easily.
- Most free web host will advertise on your website either by an ad banner that has to be on the page or a pop-up everytime a user hits your webpage. Some web designers do not like having these ads on their website a choose to go with a paid host, however if you are fine with the advertising make sure you are happy with the method the host is going to advertise on your website.
- Web Space will have to be considered... Does the host give you enough space for all your images, and videos? Most websites use less the 5MB of web space!
- Some hosts place limits on the size of images allowed to be uploaded onto their servers, while others allow only certian file types to be uploaded.
- Hosts now place Bandwith Limits on your website. This means only a certian number of users are allowed to hit your webpage in a single time, the time is specified by the host, but is usually on a monthly basis.
